HELLO! My Name is Ed
I have been fishing ever since I was old enough to hold a fishing rod. I can remember getting kicked out of the public beach for trying to fish off of the swimming pier, using a piece of lunch meat and a pole made out of a stick and a bent safety pin at the age of 7. I told the life guard I wasn’t hurting anyone but they called my parents to come and get me out of there! As I grew up my love for fishing only grew. As soon as I was old enough to get my own boat I did, and have had one ever since. Trolling became a big part of my fishing tactics about 10 years ago. I discovered what a big difference having the right colored lure on for the conditions meant. When my favorite lures were becoming hard to find because they didn’t sell them any longer, I started trying to duplicate the pattern on my own. At about the same time, I found myself back in school in the Graphic Design Program. Little did I realize, that most of what I was learning, would help me greatly in lure painting. Now after I’ve received my degree in Graphic Design, I have a number of skills that not only help me design new color patterns for lures, but the computer skills let me digitally create lure pattern templates. The possibilities are virtually endless. I find the airbrush feels like it belongs in my hand. I’ve also been working with my son and daughter and they too have become good with the air brush, which to me is an added bonus!
